Bonnie at breakfast. Oh yeah, I love the hot chilis here!!

Thao at the market. It was such a joy to shop with her and Mrs Tu for both the picnic to the springas and for the barbecue. They had so much enthusiasm for finding foods that would be a treat for the kids!
What a couple of days! Yesterday, we took the kids to this hot springs park. The hot springs were amazing, but there were all sorts of other surprises! Rides, egg in the boiling springs, and swimming! The kids had a blast and we were wiped out~
Today was the big shopping day and barbecue. We started out shopping for food at the market early this morning. What an amazing smorgasboard for the senses! Vegetables, seafood, blood, guts, and eyballs ... it was all at the market. Jenn attracted little old ladies like a pied piper and had pictures taken with many of them.

Next we picked up half of the kids at the care center for the first round of shopping. We actually gave each child their money and we let them choose their clothing, except for the little ones. They were very discerning shoppers and took their time to find what they wanted. I have to say THANK YOU here to the people who donated money for this shopping trip. The kids were just so happy and proud of their new clothes! In the afternoon, we took the second group of kids.

At night, we had a barbecue. A little different from the american barbecue. Everyone participates on these little clay thingies. Itl was so much fun and the food was great! (Do not worry Dad, you still rule the barbecue!) Then a friend of one of the kids at the care center put on an incredible Michael Jackson show for us. I think he dances better then the real Michael did! After he was finished, we all got up and danced to Michael Jackson songs. He tried to teach us some moves, but that turned out to be a bigger challenge than he probably anticipated. What an amazing day!
